Album release updates: Radiohead, British Sea Power, and more

British Sea Power
February 12th is the US release date for the band’s third LP, “Do You Like Rock Music?” UK fans can pick it up beginning January 14th.

The Charlatans
The UK band have announced that their next album, “You Cross My Path,” will be available as a free download on the band’s own website and on the site Xfm. Although the album won’t be ready until next year, the first single will be available (for free) beginning October 22nd.

Deerhoof
The experimental indie-rockers have made an entire album of live tracks and rarities available for free download on its website.

Eve
The singer’s next album, “Here I Am,” which has already been delayed several times, has been pushed back once again, from October 16th to an unspecified date in 2008.

Mars Volta
The release of the band’s next album has been pushed back into next year. “Bedlam in Goliath” will now arrive in stores on January 29th.

Radiohead
As previously reported here and elsewhere, “In Rainbows” arrives next week (via the band’s website) in two formats: a download-only version, for which you can name your own prices, and an approximately $80 “discbox” version that includes a bonus disc and a ton of extra materials. For those of you who want a physical version but don’t want to pay the high cost of the deluxe edition, word comes today that a conventional CD of the album will be released in early 2008.

Album release updates: Gorillaz, Beastie Boys, Spiritualized and more

Ryan Adams
Adams fans accustomed to the prolific artist’s usual release schedule will have to make do with a mere EP if they want new material in 2007. The “Follow The Lights” EP (due October 23rd) includes two new songs and several covers.

Beastie Boys
Although the Beasties’ most recent release, “The Mix-Up,” was an instrumental-only affair, that soon may change. The band is planning a second version of the album with vocals for each track to be provided by a series of guest performers. On their wishlist so far: M.I.A., Jarvis Cocker, and Lily Allen.

British Sea Power
There is still no release date for the band’s recently-completed third album, but impatient fans can make do with a new five-song EP, “Krankenhaus?”, due November 20th on CD (and October 9th as a download).

Club 8
Pitchfork reports that the latest album from the Swedish duo, “The Boy Who Couldn’t Stop Dreaming,” will arrive in the US on November 13th (the UK gets it December 3rd).

Zack De La Rocha
The Rage Against The Machine frontman has completed his first (still-untitled) solo album, although the actual release of the album is on hold while De La Rocha seeks a record deal.

Gorillaz
The Damon Albarn-led project sure knows how to get the most revenue out of a small amount of product. The band only has two studio albums to its name, but is about to release its second collection of B-sides. Due November 6th, the two-disc “Gorillaz: D-Sides” will compile B-sides, demos, and previously unreleased tracks associated with the album “Demon Days” on one disc, backed with a 9-track remix collection.

Spiritualized
Jason Pierce has completed recording his band’s follow-up to 2003’s “Amazing Grace,” and intends to release the still-untitled disc in early 2008.
